Sayulita rentals for groups and long stays: how to keep everyone together

The short answer

Sayulita has plenty of large homes, but they're the priciest stays in town and the first to fill. In October 2026 a typical 4-bedroom rental asked about US$563 a night, and most were already booked for Christmas week. Our three peaceful homes are a few doors apart on the same quiet street in the south end, so a group can book just the bedrooms it needs, two to four homes together in one checkout, with 5% off the nights for two homes and 10% for three or four. When no single home is available for all your dates, the search suggests a split stay instead: two or three homes back to back with one payment, one cleaning fee and 5% off the nights.

Groups often book three or four of our casitas together. Sayulita doesn't lack big rentals, but they're expensive and they go first, and a long trip planned at short notice runs into the same wall. So we built our booking to let you put together the space you need from homes a few doors apart.

Is it hard to find a rental in Sayulita for a big group?

Not because there aren't any. Sayulita has plenty of large homes: in market data from PriceLabs in October 2026, our area had about 109 four-bedroom and 105 five-bedroom rentals, next to 164 two-bedroom and 237 one-bedroom ones.

The catch is price and timing. A typical 4-bedroom asked about US$563 a night and a typical 5-bedroom about US$735, against about US$197 for a 2-bedroom. Big homes also fill first: by the end of October, about 85% of the 4-bedroom homes were already booked for Christmas week, against about 57% of the 2-bedrooms.

And when you do get one, you pay for every bedroom whether you need it or not, and everyone shares one kitchen and one living space for the whole trip.

The other fix is to book a few separate rentals. That often means homes in different parts of town, different hosts, different check in times and rules, and a group chat full of "has anyone paid yet?".

Why is a last minute long stay so hard to book?

When you're looking for two, three or four weeks at short notice, most calendars already have a booking somewhere in the middle. A home might be available for your first ten days and then again for your last week, but not for the whole stay.

So you end up stitching it together yourself: one rental here, another across town, two hosts, two payments, two sets of instructions. Or you give up a week of the trip.

How booking our homes together helps

Instead of one big villa, you build your stay from homes that sit a few doors apart on the same calm street.

  • You book the bedrooms you need. Two couples and a family can take two casitas and a two-bedroom home, without paying for rooms nobody sleeps in.
  • Every home has its own kitchen, air conditioning and front door, so each family or couple has their own space, and you're still only a few doors apart for dinner.
  • Smaller homes are more often still available when the big villas have gone, so it's easier to find dates that work.
  • Booking together takes 5% off the nights for two homes and 10% for three or four.
  • It's one checkout, one card and one place to ask questions, with every home looked after by the same small team.
  • For long stays, a split stay links two or three of our homes back to back, so you can stay for the whole trip even when no single home is available for all of it.

How to book a group stay in Sayulita with us

Our street in the south end is calm day and night, and a short walk to the beach and town. You can book the homes together on our website, in one go.

  1. Search with your dates and the number of guests. If you'd like a certain number of bedrooms, choose that too.
  2. If one home can't sleep everyone, we show homes that fit together, giving everyone a bed first and keeping you at the same property when we can.
  3. Add two to four homes to your group, then check out once, with one card.
  4. Each home becomes its own booking with its own confirmation code. You can name a lead guest for each home, so every family or couple gets their own confirmation and arrival details.

The total you see includes cleaning and every mandatory fee, and booking together takes a little off the nights:

Homes booked togetherDiscount on the nights
2 homes5%
3 or 4 homes10%

The discount is on the nightly rate, not the cleaning fee. Your card is charged once for each home, so you'll see a separate charge for every home that adds up to your total.

How a split stay works for long stays

When no single home is available for all your dates, the search shows a split stay: two or three of our homes, one after another, each one big enough for your whole group.

  • One checkout and one payment, and each home gets its own confirmation.
  • 5% off the nights, and just one cleaning fee for the whole stay. You'll see what you save compared with booking each stay on its own.
  • On moving day, check out by 11am. Your next home is a few doors away and ready from 3pm.
  • Each stay is at least 2 nights, with no more than two moves.

When it can, the search keeps you at the same property, so a move might be just a few steps.

Can we pay cash for a group or a long stay?

Yes. Choose "Pay cash on arrival" at checkout and you save 10% on the nightly rate. Nothing is charged when you book: we save your card as a guarantee, and you pay at check in, in pesos, US dollars or Canadian dollars. The amount is set when you book, so it won't change.

Good to know before you book

  • Every home has the same cancellation policy, and each one is its own booking. See our policies.
  • If a home sleeps your group only with someone on the sofa, checkout tells you, and suggests adding another home so everyone has a bed.
  • House rules: no parties, no pets, and no visitors who aren't on the booking unless we've said yes first. Our street is quiet, and we'd like to keep it that way for you and our neighbours.
  • Most guests walk everywhere. For beach gear and groceries, a golf cart helps.
